Hi Melissa,
I would like to introduce you to an awesome book that was written about Autism. The book is called “Pedro’s Visit to the Aquarium: A Short Story About Autism.” In many ways, Pedro is like any other boy his age. He likes to sing, write, play and watch cartoons. At times, it is difficult to calm him. Pedro’s parents don’t like to take him on outings because they are afraid he may become excited and act out in public places. Despite their fears, his parents decide to let Pedro go on a field trip with the class. Pedro’s parents are happy the trip is a success and realize they had to take small steps to help with his academic and developmental growth. His parents also realize that with the proper intervention and support from others, Pedro can live a productive life.
This book is great for parents and children. It is 28 pages with delightful illustrations. The book is available at http://www.amazon.com and http://www.bn.com. I would be honored if you featured the book on your site. If you have any questions, please email me.
Thank You,
Onika Johnson
Thought I would share a new autism book with you in case you are interested. It is simple, to the point and great for helping those who are unaware, uneducated, or want to understand a little more about the autism spectrum.
Here is a link to find it and to read some reviews…
