<p>The St. Mary&#8217;s County Department of Recreation and Parks will be hosting an autism summer day camp for children aged 5-17 on the autism spectrum.  The camp will be held in Leanordtown, Maryland.  Children aged 5-10 can attend from July 6-10, 2009 and children aged 11-17 will have camp the week of July 13-17, 2009.  </p>
<blockquote><p>Recreation &#038; Parks Day Camp is a co-ed, one week day camp designed specifically for children and young adult’s between the ages 5 to 17 diagnosed with Autism. Our program is intended to maximize a child&#8217;s potential and develop his/her strengths and hidden abilities. We offer a very unique program of recreation activities, academic and social development. </p>
<p>Your child will enjoy the fun-filled days of a one week summer camp while learning practical life skills. All our activities are instructional in nature and administered by a professional staff.  Our activities are designed to stimulate your child&#8217;s awareness and interest while building upon positive relationships with others.  </p></blockquote>
