A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to download the i See-quence…Christmas Social Skills Stories iPad app from I Get It LLC. Although it is already Christmas Eve, it is not too late to download this $0.99 app and help prepare your kids with autism or other developmental delays for Christmas.
I See-quence…Christmas is a classic social skills story app, walking your child through the Christmas season with colorful photos. Topics covered in the Christmas social skills story include:
- Caroling
- Baking
- Wrapping presents
- Leaving a snack for Santa
- Going to sleep
- Waiting for others before opening presents
- Talking on the phone with friends and family
- And much more…
This is really the perfect autism iPad app – it isn’t overly animated or flashy; it simply presents the necessary information is an easy-to-follow chronological fashion with actual photos.
I have to admit that the “go to sleep” photo makes me smile – sleep has always been an issue for my children and Christmas Eve sleep is even more of a challenge. Let’s see how tonight goes!
