A new 2012 autism conference has been added to my database. The Vista Del Mar 4th Annual Autism Conference: Rethinking Autism: Neurobiology-Technology-Policy-Community will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the Vista Del Mar Gym at 3200 Motor Avenue on Los Angeles, California.
Guest speakers for this year’s autism conference include:
Pat Levitt, PhD – Provost Professor of Neuroscience, Pediatrics, Psychology, Psychiatry and Pharmacy. Director of USC Neuroscience Graduate Program. Scientific Director of the National Scientific Council on the Developing Child.
Peter Bell – Executive VP – Programs and Services, Autism Speaks. Recently appointed to the US President’s Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities as a Citizen Member.
Diana O’Brien – Founder of IMPACT AUTISM, which helps transform the state of care for those with autism via fresh, bold, technology-driven solutions.
In addition to the guest speakers, Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck and Author Chantal Sicile-Kira will be honored for their outstanding work on behalf of the autism community.
The admission fee is $85 with students and seniors qualifying for a discounted rate of $50. Professionals seeking Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be assessed an additional $15 registration fee. Save $10 off of the general admission fee if you register for the event by October 1, 2012.
