I have updated the Autism Schools in Alabama page. Additions to the page include Glenwood Inc’s Allan Cott School, the Hunstville Achievement School and The Riley Behavioral & Educational Center.
The Allan Cott School in Birmingham is operated by Glenwood, Inc. Unfortunately there isn’t a wealth of information about the school available on Glenwood’s website but you can contact the school at (205) 969-2880 for more information.
The Huntsville Achievement School is located in Huntsville, Alabama and serves students in grades 1-12. The school is designed to meet the educational needs of children with high functioning autism (HFA), Asperger’s syndrome, and ADD/ADHD.
The Riley Behavioral & Educational Center is also located in Huntsville. The center features an early education program as well as a primary education class for students aged 7-11. The academic-based classroom focuses on academics while preparing children to transition into a mainstream classroom with typically developing peers. The school also offers an after school enrichment program for students that attend typical schools.
